Avant Cycles Introduce
In the picturesque city of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, a truly unique and vibrant establishment stands as a testament to the seamless fusion of two passions: cycling and coffee. Avant Cycles, often referred to as Avant Cycle Cafe, is more than just a bicycle store; it's a community hub where locals and visitors alike can "Drink coffee, ride bikes." This locally owned and operated business has carved out a special niche, providing comprehensive bicycle services alongside a welcoming cafe atmosphere, making it a cornerstone for Wisconsin's active lifestyle enthusiasts.
The concept behind Avant Cycles is refreshingly integrated. The front half of the establishment features a "coffee-forward" cafe, known for its "chill vibe and good music with wide open spaces inside." Here, coffee aficionados can indulge in meticulously crafted beverages, from a "Coconut White Mocha" with a "true taste of coconut" to a "strong and smooth" triple shot of espresso. This unique combination allows customers to relax, recharge, and even catch up on work or socialize, all while being immersed in a cycling-friendly environment. It's a place where you can comfortably grab a drink while your bike is being serviced, truly embodying the convenience and community spirit that modern local businesses strive for.
Beyond the delightful cafe experience, Avant Cycles functions as a full-service bicycle shop that is "exactly what an LBS should be." Their extensive inventory includes a wide range of bikes, from popular brands like Trek and Electra, covering categories such as road, mountain, gravel, commuter, comfort, and a significant selection of electric bikes (e-bikes). This ensures that whether you're looking for a performance machine, a family-friendly cruiser, or an efficient e-bike to explore the scenic Lake Geneva area, you'll find ample choices.
The team at Avant Cycles is consistently praised for their "friendly, able to get you on a new ride, back on your existing ride, or round out your kit." Customers frequently highlight the staff's knowledge and kindness, noting that they are "not condescending about my questions on all the specs on the bike or the trail maps." This approachable and helpful demeanor fosters a sense of trust and encourages both seasoned cyclists and newcomers to feel comfortable asking for advice or seeking assistance. The commitment to professionalism, friendliness, and skill ensures that "quality work at a reasonable price" is delivered, with bikes often ready "when promised." Avant Cycles Reviews
Place is exactly what an LBS should be. Friendly, able to get you on a new ride, back on your existing ride, or round out your kit. They experiment and are involved in the community. Solid local bike shop and well deserving to be supported as we are better with them. Highly recommend.
Jun 30, 2025 · michael gribbleThis is a very cool place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. The chill vibe and good music with wide open spaces inside.I tried the Coconut White Mocha and a triple shot of espresso. The coconut mocha had a true taste of coconut and was great. The espresso had a strong and smooth taste; worth getting! Also, you can purchase a bike to ride around the lake. If you have a bike already you can get it serviced while you grab a drink and relax! They also have clean public restrooms.Friendly staff and lots of parking around the area within walking distance or score a spot on the street. Definitely, a great place to spot by while walking around town!
Sep 04, 2023 · David BellamyI liked the place and it’s ambience. (I had very high expectations on the interior and feel of it because of the concept and I found it mild to my expectations but it wasn’t bad) It was very soothing and calm inside. We had Cappuccino and Miscelato (I had a specialty drink of Cinnamon flavor). I heard praises for Cappuccino. Mine was a good coffee too.I loved the service and their patience to explain the menu. It seemed they take pride in their work and menu items. I also absolutely loved their coffee cup and presentation.
Feb 24, 2020 · aditya Bajaj (Plates And Barrels)I visited Avant Cycle Cafe recently, and I was pleasantly surprised! Their coffee is great, and the cafe's shared space with a bicycle center adds a unique twist. It's a cozy place with friendly staff, making it perfect for coffee lovers and cyclists. Definitely worth a visit for a unique experience!
Oct 05, 2023 · Tanapon RuthaiwanichkulNice coffee place and bike shop. Good choices for drinks and prices ok. Foods (pastries) are ok. Not sure the service person on cafe was the most suitable for the job but was trying. The dirty chai was kinda thin. it was pretty cold inside the ave since it was warm outside. A bit too cold for my sweated bike jersey. The whole place seems nice and i recommend a visit if you're riding by.
