Vintage Electric Bikes Reviews
All Electric bike come used as demo bikes. Call you can ride what they sell. They ship regular FED EX ground like Ebay. Cant ship AIR because they have the batteries charged for demo use. After they are used as demos, they're partially disassembled, put in a box, to ship to a bike shop (Fed Ex Ground mutilates everything) to put the tire back on for a few weeks. They after bike shop employees play with it for a while you may get it when ever they get around to it. (White Glove) is a word used to deceive their horrible shipping. (Notice there is ZERO information)They could just produce them and box them for FED EX AIR but because the batteries are used they can not. Not sustainable. Nice Bikes. Nice people.
Jun 05, 2025 · Michael A500 Mile review:22.5 miles, 45 miles round-trip commute. 1400 ft elevation loss, 1000 ft elevation gain morning ride. Use 1,2,3 power levels in AM, 1,2,3,4 in PM. Usually drain >60% of battery each way, so I bring the charger. I'm 61, 194# 6'1". I bought a large, I'm right at the minimum insertion, a slightly longer seatpost is my only want. Oh and I'd like control of the headlight, it shuts off when the sun comes up. I bought this bike for wheel size, frame size, power level, and pedal assist. This is the most fun I could possibly have on my commute.
Apr 24, 2025 · John NeighborsYou already can see how beautiful these bikes are, and function follows that form. "These bikes are well made" said the bike installer from his major-brand bike store when I picked it up. You see, I live on the east coast and Vintage shipped my bikes here from California to have them assembled. The logistics for that can take a little while, so be patient; your wait will be worth it.I've put about a 100 miles on the bike in the few weeks since I've had it; an hour ride a couple times a week is what I got the bike for. It's powerful--we live in a hilly area and this bike gets me up any hill with as much or as little effort as I choose.I recommend the Vintage Cafe for anyone who is interested in a pedal assist bike and who wants to have the best looking bike around. Great bike. Also--I mentioned the logistics of cross-country shipping and assembly. Eddie from Vintage went the extra mile to make sure everything turned out just right, and to make us happy customers.
Nov 16, 2024 · Todd BrymerI had been eyeing Vintage Electric Bikes since I saw one on the street in Carmel, CA. So when I discovered that they had a model that suited my needs--the Cafe--I had to pull the trigger and buy one. And am I glad I did. This bike is beautifully built, more than powerful enough for the kind of fairly casual riding I do, and is, IMHO, the most beautiful E-bike out there (along w. Vintage Electrics' other models). The only thing I wasn't crazy about were the handlebar grips, which are lovely looking but seem to transmit every little bump directly to your hands. I switched them out for a pair of cork Ergon brand ergonomic grips, which buffers the shock to your hands and makes the bike feel so much smoother. My only other little niggle is that the battery life indicator seems to jump up and down all the time, depending how much pedal assist you are using. Even with a fully charged battery, the second you hit a hill and use assist level 4 or 5, the battery indicator immediately shows only two (of five) bars, which is a little disconcerting when you're just starting out on a ride. Of course, it settles down and shows a more realistic battery level when you stop riding, but this tendency makes judging the actual amount of power you have left on a ride hard to judge on the fly.Overall, the Vintage Electric Cafe is a fabulous bike. If you buy one, be prepared for a lot of envious looks from other bikers. I also get stopped a lot by folks who just want to know: "Where did you get that cool looking bike?"
Jul 02, 2023 · Sandor NagyszalanczyThe customer service I received at Vintage Electric didn't feel that way. It was more like friend service. And the only thing matching that was the F'N AWESOME bike I ordered from them!p.s. You WILL get compliments .Highly recommend
