Gotta Ride Bikes Reviews
The entire staff here is incredibly kind, and knowledgeable! Isaiah helped me throughout the entire process and explained everything to me detail for detail. I had no knowledge about bikes and he spent a lot of time to make sure I understood everything and had no doubts or questions! If you’re looking to get your first bike or find a local shop for your needs I highly recommend Gotta Ride Bikes!
Jan 27, 2025 · The LemoncycleAbsolutely love Gotta Ride Bikes! Hands down the best bike shop in San Antonio. Their customer service is unbeatable—genuine, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. I hadn’t ridden my bike in a long time because I had no clue how to maintain it, but after calling them for advice, they told me to bring it in that same day—no appointment needed. They took the time to look it over, fixed it on the spot, and walked me through what was wrong in a way that actually made sense. They also have tons of bikes, gear, and accessories (seriously, it’s like a candy store for cyclists), and right now they’re doing 40% off cycling shoes, which is wild. Bonus: they even offer bike rentals, which was perfect for my friends who were visiting. If you’re in San Antonio and need anything bike-related, this is the place. I won’t go anywhere else now!
May 03, 2025 · Laraine ShawaAmazing experience. I took my son to 7 different bike shops around town until we reached this one. They let him ride the bike around in the parking lot and were extremely knowledgeable. I got a great deal and would gladly shop here again. Thanks!
Mar 24, 2025 · Yugene JhnsonChris at Gotta Ride Bikes is awesome at his job! Great customer service and products! I haven’t rode a bike in like 25 years lol and so I started my research going to a couple stores in town that all just wanted to sell me a bike which you might say what’s wrong with that? They just kept saying try this one or that one. Well I didn’t know what I was doing at all and I needed guidance and education more than a bike at that point.Chris approached me in his store and I told him my reason for being there and instead of going right to a bike he started asking me questions, explained the differences between hybrid vs mountain, components, why this one costs way more than that one even though they look the same. He explained the industry and local markets in SA vs Austin, he’s very knowledgeable. We decided on a Kona bike but he didn’t have the size/color I wanted so he said he can order it, $875 plus $80 shipping. I went to the Kona website and found a 2022 model for $700 plus $60 shipping. I went back to the store and Chris’ colleague let me know I can order online and deliver to the store and they still get credit and full margin. Well turns out Kona got rid of the D2B and online is only D2C! I felt really bad as they lost their margin and still assembled my bike for me and were super chill about it. Of course I had to get gear so I just dropped ~$300 and they will be my bike store for as long as I live in town! They have a customer for life! Yes, it really is like riding a bike 🚲 😉
Jul 27, 2023 · Sameer SiddiquiExperienced my first flat today and took my bike in for help. Truly appreciated the quick service I received today. My tech, Evan, was very polite and kept me at ease. You hear the horror stories of some shops being quite arrogant and dismissive of the ignorant. Both of the gentleman in the shop were welcoming and patiently answered all my questions. I was also able to finally get a second cage added and take care of some other minor needs that had been bugging me for some time. The shop is very clean and had a variety of items for purchase. I’ve been to two other local bike shops and definitely felt more comfortable with the care my bike received today! I will definitely return for my first tune up!
